Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Absent Golf LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Absent," "we," "us"), handles information on this pre-launch site. The short version: we collect your email address if you choose to join the waitlist, we use it to tell you about the release, and we do not sell it to anyone.
What we collect
- Email address — only if you submit it through a signup form on this site.
- Waitlist position — a sequential member number assigned when you join.
- Basic technical data — our hosting provider processes standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site.
How we use it
- To hold your place on the waitlist and show you your position.
- To send you release and marketing emails about Absent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.
Where it lives, and for how long
Waitlist submissions are processed by FormBackend (our form processing provider) and Cloudflare (our hosting and infrastructure provider), acting on our behalf, in the United States. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except as required by law.
We keep your email for as long as you are on the waitlist — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist becomes the launch mailing list. Routine server logs are kept only briefly by our hosting provider.
Security
The site is served over encrypted connections, submissions travel encrypted, and access to the waitlist is limited to the people who run Absent. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but an email address is the only personal information we hold, and we protect it with reasonable technical and organizational measures.
On your device
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember small things between visits — that you have already joined, your waitlist number, and which one-time interactions you have already seen. This data stays in your browser and is not used to track you across other sites. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your choices and rights
We hold your email because you chose to give it to us — consent you can withdraw at any time.
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@absentgolf.com. We will act on the request within a reasonable time, and within any period required by applicable law.
- EEA / UK visitors: our processing rests on your consent; you may withdraw it, and you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability described above, plus the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
- California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we will never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes to how we use your email will be announced by email before they take effect.
